After smoking for many years, I developed an easy technique for quitting smoking.
I have been involved in various areas of Psychology such as anxiety and depression. I have a personal interest in nicotine and personal development.
1. The Technique
I developed this method for quitting smoking using an eclectic approach. I utilised my knowledge from all of these areas psychology to develop a quit smoking program. This technique differs from conventional methods of quitting smoking because it actually develops your positive thoughts and your psychological strength.
I constructed a wide range of psychological methods that you can use as tools that may be helpful to you. Because we are all individuals, no 2 people will find exactly the same smoking cessation program will suit them.
What you get is a toolbox of psychological tools. Some tools may be more useful to you than others. You can use some of these tools or just select a few of them. You as an individual choose from the variety of options. As such, it is you who chooses how you want to top smoking..
2. Turning into a non-smoker was easy for me using thus method.
Using this method, I felt recovered really early on in the program. By recovered, I mean that I wasn't experiencing significant psychological side-effects. This was completely different from my previous pathetic efforts to quit tobacco during which I suffered severe psychological stress for 10 days or more.
3. I was feeling great not only did I manage to stop smoking using this strategy but I developed psychological strength and become a more positive person.
The fantastic characteristic of this method is that once I actually stopped smoking, I could use the psychological tools to deal with a wide range of challenges in life. I felt so much positive generally and I found I was much more resilient to challenges having a negative effect on me. This makes it easier for me to meet life's challenges and has opened a wide selection of opportunities in life.
4. Give yourself psychological therapy and a relaxation technique.
I used cognitive behavioural techniques and a relaxation technique to stop smoking. I found them simple to learn. I already knew about the potential effects on health. I don't believe that scare tactics are helpful to get someone to stop smoking. .However, it is essential to know why you want to stop smoking.
5. My book
I have written a downloadable ebook on "Stopping Smoking with Positive Thinking". You can find it at my site
www.positive-thinking-stop-smoking.com
It is recommended that potential non-smokers read the whole book before attempting to stop smoking. The idea is that before you quit tobacco, you build your self up with psychological methods that I will teach you.
Each chapter ends with at least one new technique to put into what I refer to as your psychological "toolbox". This provides you with the tools to deal with any negative cognitions and thoughts which might get you to smoke.
